Charles, Bertha and Erroll are buried in Mt. Stine, and on Florence's death certificate her father's last name is given as Stine! Very confusing!

Henry, Charles, Warren and Frank ended up as career railroad men, moving with the rail jobs from Missouri into Kansas and Nebraska. They worked for the Grand Island and Union Pacific railroad companies as engineers and formen. Henry and his wife Martha (known as Mattie) raised five children in Hanover KS. Charles started as a fireman, and while serving in that capacity, he fired the first locomotive to cross the new St. Joseph MO railroad bridge in 1873. After that he became engineer of a passenger line that ran between St. Joseph and Hanover KS and kept that position until his retirement. Warren also settled in Kansas with his wife and daughter. His first wife more than likely passed away, as Warren also had a second wife and another daughter. He later moved to Portland OR. Frank is proving to be the elusive brother at this point.
Their sisters also spread out from their home in Brookfield, MO. Lavina and her husband John settled in Grand Island NE with their two children, John Calvin and Daisy Belle; Eliza and her husband Thomas were among the early pioneers of Sierra County NM, where Thomas worked in the mining business - their young daughter Eva died after their move from NE to NM, and the Scales also adopted a girl named Donna Yaple; and Emma married Thomas Foster (who was quite a few years older than she was) and ended up in Los Angeles CA. They had no children.
